Our Story

Grio (gree-oh)

From grillo - the Spanish word for cricket.

For years, much of men's jewelry has favored oversized designs, excessive detail, or trend-driven styling. It is easy to find jewelry that feels mass produced, but far harder to find something subtle, elegant and classy. Grio was created as an alternative with clean, understated pieces that prioritize timeless design and lasting quality. Our products are made from high quality gold and sterling silver to feel elevated yet effortless, designed for daily, versatile wear.

At the heart of every design is a small engraved cricket, Grio’s emblem and signature. Charles Dickens wrote of the cricket on the hearth as a guardian spirit of happiness and conscience. The cricket serves as a subtle reminder to do good, be good, and keep one’s conscience clear. This idea echoes across cultures. In Chinese tradition, crickets symbolize good fortune and vitality. In Native American mythology, they are seen as messengers of awareness and intuition, while European folklore regards them as protectors of the home.

Every Grio piece is designed to be meaningful, whether worn as a personal keepsake or given as a gift for a husband, father, son, brother, partner, or friend. It is jewelry made to last, and to remind you of what does.

Made for quiet confidence.
